Digi Fandroid Day

I attended Digi Fandroid Day a few weeks ago and only now, I am able to post about it. As you may know, Digi is always the best when it comes to treating the bloggers. Frankly, compared to other telcos, I think Digi’s relationship with the bloggers are quite close… :) Anyway, Digi invited the Android Fans to their D’House in Shah Alam… I had a good time there, inspecting the gadgets displayed by Digi.

Being a gadget fan, I was too excited to see all those gadgets there… And I practically drooled over the gorgeous looking Samsung Galaxy 7.7. I do own the Samsung Note but the size of the 7.7 simply made me jealous. Back to story, the event by Digi was awesome, they invited the Google Malaysia’s head to talk about how Google can make your life easy. I was bewildered about the things the technology can help you in life. If you are helpless in sudoku, just by taking a picture of it, you can find the solution via Google… cool huh???

Next, Samsung’s Operational Accounting Manager, Mr. Leonard Kee talked about the Samsung’s gadget… If you look at the picture, he is dressed very simple but in each of his attire’s pocket has a Samsung gadget. I loved his presentation coz he was like a Magic man taking out a magical object to the audience who were ogling at the magical object (Samsung Device)… hahaha… I was one of the spectator too… I was thinking to myself, ‘Damn, working in Samsung will enable to touch and use all their devices everyday’.

After the introduction and games, the Digi members took us around the Studio D’House. Digi is environmental friendly and their working environment were made in such way too… All in all, I had a good time there and hoping for more in future.

Nuffnang 5th Birthday Bash at Neverland Club

I was so glad that I was given a chance to celebrate Nuffnang 5th Birthday Bash for this year. I have been with Nuffnang for more than a year now and I was quite ecstatic to participate in the birthday bash. We were all dressed up in blue, the theme color of the Stickman…

As I was given 2 invitations, I brought my other half to the party as well. It was raining cats and dogs that day and there were puddle of water everywhere when we reached at the Neverland Club. To tell the truth, that was the first time, I am going to a club and my IC was checked to know whether I am underage or what and I got ink printed on my hand… whoa!!! that was an experience… :P You must be thinking I am naive or something… actually, I am more of a bookworm… I will stay in a bookstore for hours, reading all sorts of books… probably that’s why I didn’t have much time to visit any nightclubs… hahaha… I bet you didn’t guess I am a bookworm, did you??

Anyway, we collected our goodie bags after registering and the party was scheduled to start at 8pm. There was a dance number by Luke and speech by Timothy, followed by the birthday cake cutting… It was 5 layer of cake… but later I realised that the 4 layers were cupcakes… how smart is that… :) There were a few games and I entered the last game which was walk like a model with an empty box on top of my head… The box dropped before I could take a couple of steps… (I tried it later in my office… I could walk easily.. probably my high heels ruined my chance of winning those cameras…hehehe) Win or lose, it was fun… :)

Finally, some pictures with ciklilyputih and madammondoq. Although I didn’t win the camera of the trip to Sipadan Island… I was more than happy with the content of the goodie bag..

L’Oreal French Glamor Event

L’Oreal has recently launched a few true innovation products. To introduce the products, L’Oreal has invited a few bloggers to test out their products… OF course being a beauty geek myself.. I would definitely not miss such event.

We had some makan-makan session before the event started… Unfortunately, I didn’t take the pictures of the food coz I was extremely hungry that I totally forgot to take the pictures… :P Damn.. thinking about the food that day is making me hungry now..  Anyway, after the eating session, we were whisked into their training room and we were so amazed with the romantic set up by the L’Oreal… They lit candles!!! Each one of us were given a basket full of the newly launched products. I was ecstatic when  I saw one of the products that was given to us is the L’Oreal Youth Code Essence!!!! Wohhooooo!!!! Of course, I calmed myself down and was not jumping up and down there… that will be humiliating and they might stop inviting me to their events… hehee…

During the event, L’oreal also introduced to us their new innovation on cosmetic lines. Boy!!! I was amazed at their Roll’ On True Match Foundation. It is indeed a true innovation. You don’t even need a brush for that… Well, I will explain to you how amazing the foundation is in my future post.

I had an awesome time attending the event. Meeting people… getting hands on experience about the L’oreal products… awesome food.. hehee… Thank you Ms. Connie for the invitation and hope to attend more L’oreal Event in the future

Maybelline New York Fashion Week Workshop

A few days ago, I attended Maybelline New York Fashion Week Workshop at the Loreal Academy. I enjoyed every moment of it because I get to use all their products during the workshop… hehehe…

It has been quite some time since I’ve lost touch with Maybelline… My first make up product was Maybelline, but back then, Maybelline didn’t have much range in its collection. I was amazed when I saw their products collection now. I especially loved their Hyper Sharp Liner. It makes such thin line that no one knows that you’ve applied an eyeliner… :)

The makeup artist did all 4 looks to 2 different models… the tips were really helpful… I met other beauty bloggers too… ceeramoon, kakinakl, ciklilyputih, jessying and farra-eng.

Anyway, at the end of the workshop, they let us to grab whatever makeup that we used during the workshop …. awesome right??? i got a whole bunch of them… hehehe… maybe I’ll do a giveaway soon…

We were told that there is a contest and awesome prize awaits us… Well, being a contest or competition freak myself, I want to so badly enter this one too… I managed to finish the video although I was so busy at work and handling my new house… talk about multitasking… hehehe…

Famous model, Amber Chia was also there… she is a really friendly person.. and I loved her ‘Chihuaha’ smile… hahaa… those who went there know what chihuaha means… :)

I’ll be posting the video in my next post… so, stay tune!!!!

2nd day onwards in Korea

Hahaha… I chose title 2nd day on wards coz they were filled with classes and some minor trips to the city at night… Well, we had class in the morning till 4.30pm and at night we were free to go to the city… but there was one night where we went to the Ambassador of Malaysia’s place for a get together and relinquish our hunger for Malaysian food…

Dinner at the Malaysian Embassy in Seoul

Group photo

Yup, we were so kempunan to eat Malaysian food within a few days… the Korean food is quite good and healthy but being Malaysian we are so used to food which is rich with fat and sweet… hehehe… i was already started to dream eating nasi lemak within 2nd day…

Korean food are always this much... but all in small portion

Anyway back to my story about the places that I visited at night… the COTI officials brought us to NANTA, a broadway like show… I really enjoyed it. If you ever get a chance to go to Seoul, make sure you have NANTA in your agenda… You don’t need to know Korean language for this show becayse based on their movement and action, you actually understand the show… NANTA was really funny and good… I also enjoyed watching the good looking actors… hahaha…

NANTA Theatre, we are not allowed to take pictures during the performance

NANTA Actors

Seoul was indeed a shopping heaven… if you bring lots of won… I’m pretty sure, you can pretty much buy everything… I enjoyed window shopping at Myeong Dong, that’s where we watched NANTA as well… Myeong Dong looked like a haven for women… there were lots of skincare and makeup products, fashionable attires, famous brands and etc… I bought HANSKIN, their famous BB cream, simply because they were on offer and they were not in grey colour. The BB cream in Malaysia are often grey in colour and when I were them, my face will be in grey… hahaha… Anyway, I’ll definitely put up a review on HANSKIN BB cream in my future post.

Myeong-Dong's shopsssss...

BB Cream was everywhere in Seoul...

The shops look so beautiful with colourful lights

New Playboy Perfume Launch and Blogger Contest

On 23rd April 2011, Playboy launched their new perfumes line at Mid Valley. I love fragrance and I love to wear different type of fragrance depending on my mood at that time. To tell the truth, I never had tried Playboy lines before. A couple of my friends asked me, ‘Why it’s a women’s perfume when the name is Playboy?’ I burst into laughter when I heard that comment.. hahaha… still do… Anyway, that is a valid question… :P

Playboy Launch @ Mid Valley

Play It Lovely, Sexy and Spicy

Besides the launch, they also held a blogger’s contest (especially for woman, of course). Contestants are required to reflect one of the 6Ps during the competition. I participated the competition as well and my P is ‘Perfect Dress’. I didn’t win the competition though but another blogger who wore a bunny dress with a tail (hehee, she looked gorgeous and very friendly) won the competition. I think she deserved it coz she really did reflect the theme and I think she can be a model representing the Playboy Launch as well… At the end of the day, everyone was happy because we got the fragrance, body spray, playboy diary, 3 sachets of the fragrance and a 4Gb thumbdrive…

Contestant No. 5. That's me!!!

with my hero, Redmummy from redmummy.com

Yaaay!!! I met Redmummy today at the Loreal office when I attended the Lancome Maqui Natural Brightening Creator special workshop. Boy, was I ecstatic. She looks pretty in person… and she is very very friendly…

Nuffnang has invited us to witness the magic of the Maqui Blanc Natural Brightening Creator. The workshop was started with a short introduction about the Lancome Teint Miracle which was released in Sept 2010 and the Maqui Blanc Natural Brightening Creator.

Later, famous makeup artist Zamri Zainol gave us a step by step instruction on how to apply the Brightening Creator effectively. Step by step means a really thorough one and he was more than happy to answer our questions as well. He is a very jovial person and I really enjoyed the session a lot.

Those who attended, received the Maqui Blanc Miracle each for us to post a review on the product.  I’ll be posting about the product in my next post. There were a free gift for those who answered questions correctly too, which yours truly had won the famous Lancome Genifique… wooohooo…

Although today started with a severe stomach pain it ended well with great gifts from Lancome and meeting my blog hero, REDMUMMY…

>The launch of Blackberry Torch by Celcom

>

On 29th October 2010, Celcom launched Blackberry Torch officially. I attended the press conference which was scheduled at 3.30pm at the La Bodega Restaurant in Pavillion. I met few other bloggers as well such as Zaid, Kak Ina, and Chearmster  (who look like Azwan Hj.Ali). In the restaurant, there was free flow on the drinks and snacks. I was shocked at the amount of people queuing up for the Blackberry.

Look at the queue, it’s freaking long…

As you all may know, first 8 persons get to purchase the Blackberry at RM8, the following 100 will get it at RM488 and the next 100 can purchase it at RM888. The original price is RM2500. So, i say the promotion by Celcom was indeed good… The first person to be there was Andrew and followed by Aina who came there to queue as early as 4am… whoa!!! you heard me right, they came to queue at 4 in the morning.

Andrew and Aina who got the BB for RM8

Mr. Chee Pok Jin, Chief Marketing Officer Celcom Axiata Berhad is giving his  officiating remarks before launching the device

For those who opt for a monthly commitment of RM148 or RM118, you can get the device at only RM1,588 and RM1,688 respectively. Specifically for the corporate clients, Torch is available from as low as RM1,188 with a monthly commitment of RM248 for 24 months. >My first Nuffnang Premiere Screening ‘You Again’

>

As I have mentioned in my earlier post, I won 2 tickets to watch ‘You again’ at eCurve. I asked my hubby to come home early on Friday. We have not gone for a movie for a very long time. Anyway, I reached there at 8.30pm and I saw Ms. Lily and Ruby were already there taking photos with Nuffnang Management who were distributing the tickets. After collecting my tickets, my hubby and I went to buy some food, coz we were starving like hell.
After that, I was taking some pictures with my new gadget (Nikon S3000) and my hubby was quite impressed with it.

Now, my hubby is calling me by a new nickname which is ‘Nuffnang’… hahaha… Reason?? I am taking photos of everything and I am making sure that I am updating my blog everyday, of course I am actively participating all Nuffnang contests… these are the reasons why he is calling me Nuffnang.. kahkahkah…

I loved the movie a lot. It is an outrageous comedy starrring Kristen Bell, Odette Yustman Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver and not to forget James Wolk who resembles Kyle Chandler. Kristen Bell is the nerd younger sister of James (in real life James is 5 years younger than Kristen) and she was always bullied by the famous group in her school. It is because of the Brother’s encouragement that she’ll finally hatch out of her coccoon and become a beautiful girl a few years later  and eventually be promoted to VP in PR.

Unfortunately, her happiness did not last long as the girl she hated in high school is about to become her future sister in law. She became infuriated when Odette pretended not to know her… I would spoil it if I tell you the entire story. So, get to the nearest theatre to watch this movie.

I love Sigourney Weaver and Jamie Lee Curtis in this movie. They look beautiful despite their age. I bet girls would be drooling watching James Wolk and guys, you’d love to see Odette… Overall, I would rate this movie 8 out of 10, less 2 marks because I think they could have added some other mean stuff that always happen in high school.
