Let Sampar Skin Quenching Mist quench your parched skin

I have always liked facial mist because it can hydrate skin whenever I am outside of my house. In today’s climate, the hot weather can cause our skin to be dry and you do need to rehydrate your skin frequently.

When I got the Sampar Quenching Mist, I was really delighted. Working in air-conditioned room is very bad for my skin and it dries my skin often. Thanks to the Quenching Mist, I can just spray the mist when I feel my skin is dry. Sometimes, even when I am outside in the hot sun, spraying this mist gives the cool sense to my skin and I feel refresh instantly. If you are a frequent air traveller, this Sampar Quenching Mist will be a great companion for you too because it can instantly refresh you when you are just about to land.

It is alcohol free  and I love the rose scent when I spray it on my face. My husband loves the smell too, he thought I was wearing a new perfume :)  I always spray it in the morning and night to my face. After cleansing my face, I would spray the mist about 30cm away from my face. The mist acts as a moisturizing face toner.  Alternatively, you can spray it on a cotton pad and gently pat it on your face, neck and eye. Then, I will apply serum and moisturising cream. If you are wondering whether it will suit your skin, don’t worry… It is suitable for all skin types.

Price wise, I think it is reasonable. 100ml bottle lasts till now for me. I’ve been using it for about 2 months and I still have 1/2 bottle filled. Probably I am using it stingily :P Anyway, this is one of my daily essentials in my handbag to freshen me up.

By the way, you can also try this as a compress for the eyelids.

SAMPAR MIDNIGHT MASK that makes your skin dewy mewy…

Okay dewy mewy is not even a proper word… I wanted it to rhyme, hence I said dewy mewy… :P Anyway,  before this, I have raved about the Sampar’s Glamour Eye Shot which is truly amazing… Now, I have came across another Sampar product which is super awesome.

You know, when you are a working woman, it is impossible for you to find some time to go for a facial or even do your own facial. Lately, I have neglected my face because of so much work in my office [and that is why I have been neglecting this blog lately too :( ], thus maintaining facial routine is the last thing in my mind. I love to wear mask because I like to keep my face hydrated. Furthermore, dry face can cause wrinkles on your face much faster. Unfortunately, if I wear a mask I have to wait on it for 20 minutes to set in before washing it off and going to bed. But within that 20 minutes, I will doze off and the next thing I know, it is already morning. Aish!!! My pillow has the mask stain and I got to wash it because it looks as though I have drooled all over my pillow.. hahahaha…

All those hassle are over because my recent discovery with Sampar has brought me to ‘So Much to Dew Midnight Mask’ a mask that hydrates and repulps. The tube has a brush on it which you can just twist to turn it on or off. So, there won’t be any product overflow when you keep it in your bag. You must apply the product on a perfectly cleansed skin and with the brush, apply a thin layer on your whole face. By the way, the brush makes it easy to apply on my face and it saves me a lot of time. I don’t even have wait for 20 minutes to wash it off. I can sleep in it and it doesn’t smear on my pillow. All I got to do is to wash it off the next day. I feel my skin is softer and a lot smoother too.

I don’t know whether you notice the changes between the before and after picture but I have lesser wrinkles on my forehead and my pores are less visible in the after pictures. To conclude, I am certainly satisfied with the mask and I am using it every week without fail. By the way, if you are wondering if it is suitable for you or not, this mask is suitable for everyone [dry skin, normal skin, combination skin, oily skin and sensitive skin]

Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV

Everyone was so excited when the Naked Palette 2 came to Malaysia and it was sold off within a day. Urban Decay was already famous here even before it came to Malaysia. Thanks to Sephora, we have access to Urban Decay in Malaysia. I have always wanted to try out the Urban Decay Eye Primer and I was really ecstatic when I got the Book of Shadows IV (Limited Edition). The colours are really gorgeous and it comes with the famous eye primer, an eyeliner and a full size mascara too. The Book of Shadows is really unique than other limited edition because it also comes with a really cute little speaker which you can connect to your phone and listen to music while you are doing your makeup. It is really creative of them to add the speaker.

The colours are really pigmented and it gives great look to my eyes. To top it off, the Urban Decay Eye Primer makes it stay longer than I expected. When I came home, my eyes still looked great. I am definitely going to get the full size U.D. Eye Primer. Anyway, I wanted to post the swatches for this but I didn’t have time to do it yet. Currently, I am editing the makeup tutorial that I did using the Book of Shadows, so I will post the swatches when I upload the video. Do you own the Book of Shadows IV?? Between the Naked Palette and the Book of Shadows IV, which one do you prefer???

Benefit That Gal Review

Do you still remember the Benefit That Gal that I bought a while back. Only now, did I have the time to do a review about it… I often promise that i will do a review about a product but I will always forgot about it and never update with the review.

Okay, back to the review. I have always loved Benefit. I think they produce the most natural makeup products. My friends have always complimented my look when ever I wear their products. Unfortunately, I did not like the Benefit That Gal because I don’t see any difference when ever I wear them. It suppose to be primer right??? Primer supposedly make your makeup stay for the whole day. My personal opinion is it did not last as long as I hoped it would be. I still need to do some touch up on my oily surface (T-zone). The product wasn’t cheap, it is quite expensive if you ask me, so I won’t buy this again. However, I am not saying that Benefit products are all that bad… I adore their blushers…

Anyway, if you are looking for a good primer, I think you can skip this… but hey.. who am I to tell you not to use this right… Go ahead and try it … maybe it will be suitable for your skin. As for me, a lot of people raved about the Urban Decay Primer but I haven’t given it a try yet. Hence, my next venture is UDP :P

Say No To Chap Lips

Yup, Say No to Chap Lips… I hate chap lips… i wear lip balm everyday because the weather nowadays is causing my lips to be dry… Hence I had to wear lip balm thrice in a day. At home, I use Vaseline but because Vaseline is only available in cute little box bottle, I can’t bring them to office (cumbersome)…

    Anyhoooooooooo… thanks to Maybelline Baby Lips, I’m able to bring the lip balm whenever and where ever I want… It is available in colours too…

Maybelline New York Fashion Week Workshop

A few days ago, I attended Maybelline New York Fashion Week Workshop at the Loreal Academy. I enjoyed every moment of it because I get to use all their products during the workshop… hehehe…

      It has been quite some time since I’ve lost touch with Maybelline… My first make up product was Maybelline, but back then, Maybelline didn’t have much range in its collection. I was amazed when I saw their products collection now. I especially loved their Hyper Sharp Liner. It makes such thin line that no one knows that you’ve applied an eyeliner… :)

      The makeup artist did all 4 looks to 2 different models… the tips were really helpful… I met other beauty bloggers too… ceeramoon, kakinakl, ciklilyputih, jessying and farra-eng.

Anyway, at the end of the workshop, they let us to grab whatever makeup that we used during the workshop …. awesome right??? i got a whole bunch of them… hehehe… maybe I’ll do a giveaway soon…

 

We were told that there is a contest and awesome prize awaits us… Well, being a contest or competition freak myself, I want to so badly enter this one too… I managed to finish the video although I was so busy at work and handling my new house… talk about multitasking… hehehe…

 

Famous model, Amber Chia was also there… she is a really friendly person.. and I loved her ‘Chihuaha’ smile… hahaa… those who went there know what chihuaha means… :)

Bare Minerals Set from Sephora

I went to Sephora recently to get the Bare Minerals Set. I’ve been wanting to get if for such a long time but I couldn’t buy it from any website because they don’t ship to Malaysia. Anyway, I was glad that Sephora has them, so I just went there and got one for myself.

The cost was RM239. It is quite expensive than what was offered in US. But I wanted to try it so badly that I bought it without hesitant. I tried it immediately, of course.

Verdict:

It didn’t deliver the results that I expected. I think i bought the wrong shade. my friends told me that i looked slightly darker. But I bought the Medium to medium beige set. So, does that mean i have to buy the lightest set… I don’t know…

 

But, to be fair, the difference was not that obvious actually… It could be that I didn’t give proper coverage. The package consist of concealer (free), brushes, 2 set of base (medium, medium beige), mineral veil and a bronzer.

And I bought Benefit brightening face primer as well… I haven’t tried the face primer yet… so, i’ll post the review once i tested it…
