For the first time, I actually cooked some western dish for my husband. Why sudden change??? Well, I love cooking, especially Indian dishes. Lately, I’ve been watching Food Network Channel and I just adore Barefoot Contessa, Giada at Home and Robin Miller’s Quick Fix Meal. They made me drool over their dishes… I was just wondering to myself, since they cook very fast, maybe I should try cooking western dish coz it’s a lot easier. My indian cooking sometimes takes me almost an hour or 1 1/2 to finish my cooking. By the time, I finish cooking I’ll be so exhausted (I cook after I come back from work).
Hence, I tried Spaghetti Bolognaise ( an italian dish). It was not tiring at all… it was fast and I enjoyed making it. I even made my own chicken meat ball… hehehee… You can try it too…
2 piece Chicken Breast (shred it in blender for 5 seconds)
some mixed herbs
some shredded cheese
3 tablespoon of corn flour
3 tablespoon of bread crumb
Rice flour (for coating purpose only)
Mix all ingredients together and make it into ball. After it was shaped into ball, you can coat them with little bit of rice flour. Fry it.
For the sauce
a tin of button mushrooms (you can buy fresh if you want)
one tin of tomato puree
a bottle of tomato & basil sauce
1 bulb onion
Fry the onion and the button mushroom after adding 2 tablespoon of olive oil in the wok. Add the tomato puree and the tomato & basil sauce. Let them simmer for about 15 minutes. Stir once in a while. Add salt as needed and 5 minutes before you are done, add some shredded cheese. (If you would like to add some shredded chicken, do fry them with the onion in the beginning)
Serve with your favourite spaghetti.
