Blackberry Curve 9300 Review

As I mentioned before, Blackberry Curve is my new love. Weighing at 104g with dimension 109 x 60 x 13.9 mm is an attractive beauty. Not only light but I love the way it fits perfectly in my hand.

BB Curve evolved 3 times (e.g 8250, 8310 and 8900). BB Curve 9300 or best known as BB Curve 3G is the latest BB Curve that was introduced in Malaysia (overseas it has already moved to 9330 with HSDPA).

This model has 3G and wifi unlike its other predecessors. Equipped with 2MP camera with no flash (sadly) did not deter me from getting this angel. Reason? I own HTC HD2 which takes excellent pictures. So, having another 5MPcamera with flash (such as BB 9780) is not necessary for me. BB Curve has 256MB memory which is not much because when I download a new application it is uploaded into the device memory and not the media card memory. I don’t know how to download it to the media card memory coz there is no selection query when I download them.

BB Curve came with the OS5 but it is upgradable to OS 6. Once you installed the Blackberry Desktop Manager into ur Desktop/Laptop updates are automatically done. I did have error messages sometimes after the updates but lately, I didn’t get those messages. OS 6 is much better than OS5 coz it provides a more interactive platform for the user.

The Curve 9300 also has Facebook, Twitter, Google Talk, Maps and games. Facebook and Twitter has instant updates notification, a feature which I like a lot. I’ve got to warn you though that BB Curve Internet may now download heavy websites, the tab will close immediately after notifying that it is too heavy to be downloaded. If you are planning to get the BB Curve, I’d suggest you to get it from the Celcom coz after doing much research I realised that Celcom gives a much better rate than other telcos for the Blackberry. But you’ve got to hurry before the Celcom sales is over (31st March 2011)

Retail price for BB Curve 9300 is RM 1100 but I’m pretty sure you can get it a lot cheaper when you take package from telcos such as Maxis, Digi and Celcom.
