Apple Ipad in Malaysia
I know this post is a bit late… but as all of us know, Apple Ipad has just landed in Malaysia on 29th November 2010 and it was said to be one of the cheapest in the world. Official price in US Stores are at RM1573 to RM 2613.00 but in Malaysia it is going at RM1,549 to RM 2,599. I know it is only a few ringgit different but buying locally means you are entitled for the warranty and it is of course nearer for you to send if something is wrong with the iPad.
Earlier Malaysian would by Ipad from small booths at DigiMall or some other outlets which bought these Ipad from overseas.
If you are wondering what the official price is for Ipad, here are the list
Wifi Only – RM 1549 16GB
– RM 1849 32GB
– RM 2149 64GB
Wifi +3G – RM 1999 16GB
– RM 2299 32GB
– RM 2599 64GB
According to the STAR, Maxis is already offering data plans for Ipad with Wifi + 3G in Malaysia from 29th November 2010. Other telcos such as Digi and Celcom have introduced Micro SimCard for both iPhone4 and Ipad. So, make sure you get the microSim from your favourite Telco to start utilizing your Ipad.
